Catholic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Bank is the product of effort by the government and private organizations(the general public) carrying out the business of donating(transplanting) non-blood relative hematopoietic stem cells in order to provide opportunities of complete recovery to patients who suffer from blood disorders including leukemia through hematopoietic stem cell transplantations.

After receiving applications for donations of hematopoietic stem cells and conducting HLA testing, we build a data bank with the test results, provide patients in need of hematopoietic stem cell transplantations with the best HLA matched donor and put life sharing into action based on the Catholic spirit.

Moreover, after being established in January 1994, we were designated and approved of the HLA testing institute in August 1994, developed an HLA testing method and ever since September 2002 when we started to perform close examinations through sequencing based techniques, we have been focusing on greatly reducing the chances of graft-versus-host disease(GVHD).

Throughout the years, Catholic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Bank has made great strides owing much to the public concern, cooperation from the government and related institutes and efforts made by employees. We will always do our best to prove worthy of the public.

Everything was possible thanks to the continuous concern and support from the public and we express our heartfelt thanks. We plan to prepare for an era of change and reformation, peace and co-prosperity by collecting public opinion which is valuable and special for our development.

We would like to humbly ask for your continuous concern and support. Thank you.
